Your details, and what happens to them

Who you are dealing with

Sasha Beautee is a one woman makeup studio run by Sashay at 5 Balmoral Avenue, Kingston, Jamaica. She is the only person who sees your details. There is no staff, no agency and no mailing list company behind her.

What she asks you for

• To book a look. Your name, phone number and email, the look you chose, the date and time, the occasion if you say, and anything you write in the notes box.
• To ask about a wedding. The same, plus your wedding date, how many faces are getting ready, where you are getting ready, and whether you want a trial.
• To order from the shop. The same, plus a delivery address if you choose delivery instead of pickup.
• To keep an account. A password, so you can come back and see your bookings. It is never stored as you typed it, only as a scrambled version that cannot be read back.
• To show you paid. A receipt, if you upload one. It is a picture of your own payment and nothing else.

Your phone number and email are how she reaches you about your own appointment. She does not use them to send marketing, and there is no newsletter to be signed up to without asking.

Paying

This website never handles your money and never asks for a card number.

• Bank transfer. After you book, the site shows you Sashay's account details. The transfer happens between your bank and hers. The site only records that you said you sent it, and what she confirms she received.
• Card. Card payments are taken on a payment page run by Fygaro. Your card details are entered there, on their systems, and are never sent to this website or shown to Sashay. She sees only that a payment arrived.

Signing in with Google

If you choose Continue with Google instead of a password, Google tells this site your name, your email address, your profile picture and an id number for your Google account. That is all it is asked for, and it is used only to sign you in and match you to your bookings. This site is never given your Google password and can see nothing else in your account.

You never have to use it. An email and a password work exactly the same way.

Cookies

One, and only if you keep an account: a small file called sb_client that remembers you are signed in so you do not have to type your password on every page. It is deleted when you sign out.

There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no analytics on this site. Nobody is measuring what you look at. That is also why there is no cookie banner asking you to agree to anything: there is nothing to agree to.

Who else is involved

A website cannot run entirely on its own. These are every outside company that touches anything, and what they get:

• Railway runs the server and holds the database, so your booking is stored on their machines.
• Namecheap Private Email carries the emails Sashay sends you and the alerts she gets about your booking.
• Fygaro takes card payments, as above.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on every page, so Google sees the internet address of the device you are reading on. This happens whether or not you book anything.
• Google again, only if you press Continue with Google.

The Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and WhatsApp buttons are ordinary links. Nothing loads from those companies until you tap one and leave this site.

Your details are never sold, rented or handed to anyone for advertising. There is no arrangement under which that could happen.

How long it is kept

Your bookings and what you paid are kept while you are a client of hers, because that is her record of her own business and she needs it to know who is coming and what she was paid. Receipts you upload are kept with the booking they belong to. If you ask her to delete you, she will, keeping only what she has to for her own accounts.

What you can ask for

• A copy of what she holds about you.
• A correction, if something is wrong.
• Deletion, as above.
• That she stops emailing you about anything other than an appointment you have actually booked.

Message her and she will do it. You do not need a reason and there is no form.

Children

This site is not meant for children to book on. A parent or guardian should make the booking and be the person she deals with.

If this page changes

The date at the top changes with it. If something meaningful changes about what she collects or who sees it, she will say so rather than quietly editing this page.
